From the plant floor to top floor – Grantek’s systems automation offering is expansive. Working in partnership with Riordon Design, our task was to make that offering accessible. And meeting that requirement put our illustration skills to the test.
Like many of our end-clients, Grantek’s service offering is diverse. Its innovative solutions have a significant impact on clients’ return on investment and reduce time to market through improved manufacturing productivity, product quality, asset utilization and integrated technology. They permeate through all aspects of clients’ manufacturing processes to achieve the end-goal of improved operational efficiency. In redesigning Grantek’s site, Pear and Riordon Design were challenged to make Grantek’s value proposition tangible. We met that challenge with illustration.
The showpiece of our site design solution is a series of detailed environmental recreations, one for each of Grantek’s four key delivery channels. Each interactive miniature represents a generic plant-floor activity common to manufacturing facilities within a given sector, illustrating the potential in Grantek’s offering to positively affect both holistic and microcosmic processes. The four visuals were modelled from the ground up based on the firm’s specifications. By granting potential clients control of these miniatures and their display, we hoped to better their understanding of Grantek’s service offering and open their eyes to unseen potential within the processes which hinder their own operations.
