For Gadoua Bakeries, a French Canadian supplier of baked goods, the Internet provides the opportunity to promote a unique and exceptional identity in a largely saturated marketplace.
We partnered with Headspace Marketing in early 2007 to aid in the design and development of a consumer-facing website for its client, Gadoua Bakeries. At the time of the project’s inception, Gadoua’s brandspace remained largely undefined. Like many food-services providers, Gadoua needed to re-align with the needs of the health-conscious consumer. Headspace had started a disciplined exploration of tone and manner, resulting in a series of expertly crafted television ads. For our contribution, we were granted a tremendous degree of freedom in developing a comprehensive graphic vocabulary for the company’s website.
Leveraging the positioning established through the company’s television marketing, our design solution underscores the value of Gadoua’s product as a healthy lifestyle choice. The site’s visuals, prominent throughout the site, are the most obvious and immediate demonstration of this revised positioning. The story isn’t limited to good food and healthy eating. Here, we’ve adopted a bigger-picture perspective, depicting Gadoua’s product as an integral part of a more holistic health and wellness strategy.
